Education

Education policy is one of the few areas where today’s decisions will affect the state for decades.

As a father, I think about that often. My daughters will enter the school system in a few short years. The policies we set today will shape the schools they experience.

Alabama’s education system should focus on preparing students for the real world.

That means maintaining high academic standards, supporting teachers, and making sure funding is used responsibly.

But it also means recognizing that students follow different paths.

Some students will attend four-year universities. Others will pursue skilled trades, technical certifications, or start businesses of their own. Our schools should prepare them for all of those options.

Career and technical education should be expanded and treated with the same respect as traditional academic tracks.

Parents must also remain central to the education process. Families should never feel shut out of decisions that affect their children.

Strong schools require strong partnerships between educators and parents.

Yes! I’d like to help get William elected!
